IS THE STRUCTURE OF DEINOCOCCUS RADIODURANS HARD
TO UNDERSTAND, YOU MAY ASK?
NO, NOT AT ALL!
The structure of this bacter is not too complicated. It is a ring-shaped structure that has many
little strands that contain DNA.
These little strands of DNA play a
very important role in the functions and structure of the bacteria.
The DNA strands are packed so tightly together that
diffusion is not possible for movement, but the strands do
allow ordinary processes to happen 100,000
times quicker, which is a very good thing. A negative fact about the strands is that they are not
able to produce. The structure of the bacteria contains
many ribosomes and ribosomal units, but does not contain
spores. Lastly, Deinococcus radiodurans has a multi-layered
cell wall.
